Although IPRS exists primarily to serve the common interest of submarine Cable Owners and Maintenance Authorities it is recognised that the information produced is of value to many other parties, including Ship Operators and Cable Suppliers. The service is therefore available to any interested party on standard subscription terms.

Please see below for information about the deliverables, who else is involved, the cost and how to participate.

1. Deliverables

• Expert analysis of all cable repair completion reports that are sent to Qualtrack Ltd by (or with the authority of) the cable-owning IPRS Members.
   
• Provision of 4 reports per year on jointing and testing performance (plus supplementary reports when appropriate).
   
• Provision of confidential source data tracking information, which enables Qualtrack's analysis to be verified by the appropriate cable-owning and ship-operating IPRS Members.
   
• Report distribution via email to all of nominated alternate contacts plus a paper copy via normal post to the nominated prime contact.
   
• Request For Information (RFI) Service for the cable-owning IPRS Members, which enables ambiguities found in the cable repair completion reports to be clarified with the ship operators.
   
• Access to the members area of the IPRS website, which contains the latest report plus archived information from the annual IPRS Annual Review meetings.
   
• IPRS news and discussion via email when appropriate.
   
• Participation in the Annual Review of IPRS, which is routinely and conveniently scheduled immediately following the ICPC's annual Plenary meeting.
   
• Inclusion of the company logo on the front cover of all IPRS Reports.

3. Cost of Subscription

The annual subscription to IPRS is 5000 UK Pounds.

NB: Ship operating subsidiary companies where the parent company is also an IPRS Customer qualify for a discount of 80% on the normal subscription fee.

4. How to Subscribe

A subscription can easily be established with emailed request. No other formalities are needed by Qualtrack but a formal subscription agreement can be implemented if required - see here for draft document.
